First Book Signing and Launch: SNAG New Orleans
We are so excited to speak about CAST: Art and Objects Created Using Humanity's Most Transformational Process at the Society of North American Goldsmiths 2017 conference, Nexus. We will be speaking about how CAST came to be, the process of creating the book, and why this was an important book to write.
SNAG is near and dear to our hearts - Renee served as President of the organization and I served on the Board. We couldn't be happier about launching our book with such a special group of people. Many contributors to CAST will be in attendance as well as one of our essayists, Suzanne Ramljak, who wrote a fabulous essay in the book called MOLD CULTURE
Casting Through Western Art History. The wonderful Jim Bové, who wrote our glossary, will also be there, as well as our incredible editor, Sandra Korinchak, of Schiffer Publishing.
Writing CAST has been the most intense professional experience either of us has ever had. Because this was our first book, there was a steep learning curve but it's been a wonderful adventure and we are very proud of our accomplishment.
