CAST Sweeps the Independent Book Awards!

CAST has now won nine book awards, including the Grand Prize in Non-Fiction from the Next Generation Indies, described as "the Sundance of independent book awards." CAST has also been given two finalist awards, and was shortlisted for the Eric Hoffer Grand Prize.

Jen Townsend

JEN TOWNSEND has an MFA from SIU Carbondale in jewelry and metalsmithing. In addition to being a studio jeweler and author, she has taught at Penland School of Crafts and at Millersville University, among others, and has served on the Board of the Society of North American Goldsmiths. Townsend’s work is in the permanent collection of the Imperial War Museum. She co-authored the award-winning book, CAST: Art and Objects Made Using Humanity's Most Transformational Process with Renée Zettle-Sterling in 2017.
