Yoko Sekino-Bové is an exceptional ceramicist who uses many processes in her work. Yoko is especially sensitive to surface adornment; her approach to glaze makes her forms come to life.

In 2014, Yoko earned a residency at the John Michael Kohler Arts Center. There she produced this magnificent column series called Flowers in Mirror, Moon on Water. She also created the Diary Cup Project that consists of 74 cups, each of which was cast, and then Yoko recorded the day's events on their surfaces. Many of the cups feature images of casting, which got us extra excited.
